A SMALL batch brewery team from Stroud are celebrating their move to a new premises.

The Fresh Standard Brew Company have the keys to their new site in Nailsworth, from where they plan to create a taproom, a bonded warehouse, and a shop.

The team have been creating small batch, seasonal beer, for their customers in Stroud since December 2020.

Starting out from a base near Minchinhampton, they firstly offered online delivery only, then scaled up distribution to hand-pumps in selected pubs.

Then, when a unit in Merretts Mill, Nailsworth became vacant, they decided to scale things up again.

“We are initially planning to create a bonded warehouse, taproom and shop with plans to bring full production on site as soon as possible,” said brewing director Richard Taylor.

“All things running to plan, we hope to open the taproom to the public on March 5, from 2pm – 9pm, but the usual hours will be Friday and Saturday 2pm till 9pm, depending on our market commitments.
